LayarHijau – The urban-fantasy drama Love on the Turquoise Land (枭起青壤), starring Dilraba Dilmurat and Oliver Chen Xingxu, is proving to be a massive hit, not only breaking records on Tencent Video but also showing a significant surge in ratings across other monitoring services.
The drama’s immediate strength is evident in Yunhe Data, which reported a powerful performance from its very first episode. The Effective Viewership Penetration (EVP) for the premiere day reached 6.7%, placing it fourth among all currently airing dramas. This figure saw a dramatic jump to 11.9% by the second day, pushing the series up to the third spot overall.
The show is also dominating other platforms. Data from the Maoyan Professional Edition confirmed that Love on the Turquoise Land successfully secured the No. 1 ranking as the most popular Chinese drama airing on the day of the report.
In tandem with the ratings, the popularity of the leading cast has soared. Dilraba Dilmurat claimed the top spot on the list of most popular characters for the 47th week with a score of 17,477 for her role as Nie Jiu Luo. Meanwhile, Chen Xingxu, playing Yan Tuo, landed in third place with a score of 16,560. Dilraba’s social media presence also remains robust; her character index on Weibo reached 60 million, with related hashtags and topics exceeding 10 million.
As previously reported by LayarHijau, the drama’s premiere on Tencent Video and WeTV on November 22nd set multiple records. The show’s popularity heat index quickly climbed from 20,000 to a staggering 25,000 within just a few hours.
Adapted from Wei Yu’s novel, Love on the Turquoise Land follows Nie Jiu Luo, a hunter from Mount Nan, and Yan Tuo, an intruder from the opposing side. Their conflict gradually evolves into an alliance as they confront a mysterious entity threatening peace.
Meanwhile, the historical costume drama Fight for Love (山河枕), starring Victoria Song and Ding Yuxi, remains a strong competitor, with its characters also receiving high attention. Actor Ding Yuxi recorded a popularity score of 16,572, securing the second position on the popular character list.
