LayarHijau – The C‑drama world is buzzing with a new rumor: Wang Anyu is reportedly set to replace Li Xian as the male lead in the upcoming drama I Live in Your Time (你那兒幾點), paired with Zhang Ruonan, who rose to fame with The First Frost (難哄). The drama is said to be directed by Qu You Ning.
Qu You Ning is best known for Go Go Squid! (亲爱的, 热爱的) starring Li Xian, as well as The First Frost, which helped launch Zhang Ruonan’s career. Early speculation had suggested that Li Xian and Zhang Ruonan might star together in this new project, before the latest rumor mentioned Wang Anyu.
I Live in Your Time is adapted from Bei Qing’s novel 想把你和時間藏起來 (I Want to Hide You and Time). The story follows film producer Shen Qianzhan (Zhang Ruonan) and clock restoration expert Ji Qinghe (Wang Anyu), who reconnect through work and gradually develop a warm relationship, with a focus on professional collaboration and on-screen chemistry.
Previously, Wang Anyu was scheduled to star in A Journey to Glow (一念江南), a sister project to A Journey to Love (一念關山), but according to rumors, he decide to step back after the project was delayed due to controversy involving co-star Esther Yu Shuxin from Love Game in Eastern Fantasy (永夜星河).
Li Xian, originally linked to this drama, recently completed A Prophet (長風起) and is rumored to be taking a break from filming. In late October, he was seen hiking an active volcano in Indonesia, suggesting no immediate plans to shoot, which may have opened the opportunity for Wang Anyu.
For the female lead, the production team considered Victoria Song Qian and Guan Xiaotong, but Zhang Ruonan became the main candidate after finishing Live Up to Your Youth (冬去春來) ahead of schedule. Many fans hope I Live in Your Time will recreate the captivating romantic chemistry seen in The First Frost.
No official shooting schedule or release date has been announced, but anticipation is already high for a possible collaboration between Wang Anyu and Zhang Ruonan under Qu You Ning’s direction.
