LayarHijau – Actor Lu Yuxiao is rumored to be cast as the female lead in the upcoming costume drama He Bu Tong Zhou Du / Why Not Cross the River Together. His rumored co-star is Tan Jianci, previously known for the drama Filter (滤镜). Production is expected to begin shooting in December.
Why Not Cross the River Together is adapted from the novel by Chinese author Xian Yu Ke and is set during the turbulent Southern Song Dynasty. The story follows Xie Queshan, a dual-role spy general in disguise, and Nan Yi, a female thief struggling to survive amidst the chaos. Initially at odds, the two gradually come to support each other and grow together, developing a complex and dynamic relationship.
