Another leak shows them seated together on a prop horse in front of a green screen. In a short clip, Daddi Tang continues resting his head on Meng Ziyiâs right shoulder even though cameras have stopped rolling. Meng Ziyi doesnât pull away; instead, she turns slightly and speaks softly to him. Their faces are extremely closeâalmost touchingâleading to widespread buzz online. In the drama, Meng Ziyi plays Mu Wanyao, the crown princess of the Wei Dynasty who is sent at age 15 to marry into the Wuman tribe. Considered too young by the tribeâs aging king, she ends up relying on the kingâs son, Meng Taishi (played by Daddi Tang). Meng Taishi forces her into marriage, and Mu Wanyao must navigate the tribeâs dangerous political struggles to survive. She eventually returns to Wei alive as a heqin princess, meaning a royal woman married off to another tribe as part of a political peace agreementâbecoming the first in Weiâs history to return home alive.
Back in the capital, she meets Yan Shang (Li Yunrui), the son of a disgraced official. Mu Wanyao gradually evolves from a proud royal into a calculating political strategist, while Yan Shang works his way upward despite his disadvantaged background. Together, the two face power struggles, revenge, and threats to the nation.
With three rising stars, leaked intimate scenes, and persistent romance rumors, Tigers Sniff the Rose has already generated enormous buzz long before its official release.
