Zhao Lusi Cries Multiple Times at Her Concert: “I Thought I Could Never Be an Actress Again”

LayarHijau – On the eve of her 27th birthday, Zhao Lusi held a concert titled Miss You in her hometown of Chengdu on the evening of November 8. During this special event, the popular actress shed tears several times, expressing her gratitude to fans, family, and friends who had always supported her, and noting that the drama Love’s Ambition had given her a “second life.”

Zhao Lusi went through a very difficult period. In December 2024, while filming the drama Lover, she suddenly fell ill and had to be treated using a wheelchair, with all her work temporarily suspended. She was later diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety caused by prolonged work-related pressure. Two months before the concert, she even felt she might never be able to continue her acting career.

This pressure was compounded by conflicts with her former agency, Galaxy Cool Entertainment. In August 2025, Zhao Lusi temporarily closed her personal Weibo account and announced a break from the entertainment industry. She also accused the agency of mistreatment, including being scolded and having her hair pulled while waiting for work. During a livestream on August 13, she clarified: “It was because I didn’t get a role; they scolded me in the bathroom for three hours. That person was drunk, chased me, pulled my hair, slapped me. Should everyone come out to confirm this?”

After overcoming these challenges, Zhao Lusi began to recover with the support of her fans and loved ones. She announced the establishment of her own personal studio, marking a new chapter in her career. At the Miss You concert, she shared her experience with the audience: “Now that I can stand here, I feel happy, because it was so difficult before. Because you are here, I feel it’s okay to be unwell, as I can still do what I want.”

The Miss You concert was not open to public ticket sales. A total of 5,000 tickets were distributed through a quiz and free reservation system. Amusingly, Zhao Lusi shared a screenshot showing she had failed the quiz herself, and at the concert, she laughed: “The questions were really difficult; I almost couldn’t come.”

In addition to fans, several friends and colleagues attended, including Zeng Li, Galaxy Cool Entertainment founder Li Wei, as well as Love’s Ambition director and producer Chen Chang. Zhao Lusi frequently mentioned her role as Xu Yan in the drama, describing it as having “given her a second life.”

During the concert, Zhao Lusi performed several songs, including Black Veil Bride, Don’t Wanna Know, and even rapped in the Chengdu dialect during 全是爱. She teared up multiple times while thanking her loyal fans, “Ke Lu Li,” saying, “After almost a year of rest, I finally realized how much I really need you. Your love is amazing!” She also admitted to feeling nervous during concert preparations, but the presence of fans helped her relax and fully enjoy the stage.

Zhao Lusi also gave special thanks to Li Wei, who has mentored her as a new artist for the past eight years, for always supporting her both as a regular person and as an actress. She recalled that 37 days before the concert, she asked Li Wei for help to meet fans, and he immediately provided support, making the birthday concert possible.
