LayarHijau – Chinese actor Lin Yi reportedly sustained an injury while filming his upcoming drama When I Meet the Moon (折月亮) in Xiamen. According to a report, the accident occurred when a large overhead spotlight suddenly fell from above and struck the actor’s left shoulder.
The incident was first brought to attention by fans who happened to be near the filming location. They described the spotlight as falling abruptly, giving Lin Yi no time to dodge. Although the situation shocked the crew, the actor immediately received on-site assistance and was taken to a hospital for a thorough medical examination.
On October 22, the official account of When I Meet the Moon released a statement addressing public concern. The production team confirmed that Lin Yi had undergone a complete medical check-up and was not seriously injured.
“After professional medical diagnosis and evaluation, it was confirmed that Mr. Lin Yi sustained no serious injury. With his personal consent and the doctor’s approval, he successfully completed the day’s remaining scenes,” the statement said.
The crew also noted that dedicated staff members accompanied Lin Yi throughout the entire medical process to ensure his comfort and safety. “Mr. Lin Yi’s condition is now stable. We kindly ask everyone not to worry,” they added.
In the same statement, the production expressed a public apology to Lin Yi for the on-set accident and promised to strengthen safety measures for future filming. “We will conduct a full inspection of all equipment and reinforce our safety protocols to prevent similar occurrences,” the statement continued.
Earlier, several netizens claimed to have seen Lin Yi at a hospital in Xiamen accompanied by members of the production team. Photos from the encounter circulated widely on social media, fueling speculation until the production team officially addressed the situation.
