Latest Rumor: Dilraba Dilmurat Suspected to Be the Lead Actress in Women’s Soccer

LayarHijau.com — Stephen Chow, the “King of Comedy,” announced two years ago that he was working on his latest film project Women’s Soccer (working title), a female-centered version of the legendary movie Shaolin Soccer. Since then, numerous rumors have circulated about which big stars would be joining the cast. One of the most talked-about names is popular 90s-born actress Dilraba Dilmurat.

Initially, reports claimed that Dilraba would only make a cameo appearance. However, the latest rumors among netizens suggest that Dilraba has been involved in filming from the very beginning to the end, strengthening the speculation that she holds the lead role — not just a guest appearance.

So far, the production team has not confirmed whether Dilraba is indeed the female lead or just playing a special role, according to World Journal. Nevertheless, fans are hoping she will reclaim the “female lead” position they’ve long been waiting for. On the other hand, they also remind each other to “listen to rumors but don’t believe them” and to wait for official announcements.

Previously, the public believed Zhang Xiaofei was the main lead. Zhang was even spotted filming in Qingdao, Shandong, and was reported to have completed her part within two months. However, the latest reports state that the main shoot is still ongoing at a large stadium in Shenzhen, Guangdong, with a massive production scale.

Dilraba herself is reported to wrap up filming with the crew on June 6. Interestingly, Tin Kai-man, Stephen Chow’s long-time collaborator, mentioned in an earlier interview that Dilraba’s role in the film is quite crucial — a statement that seems to confirm the actress’s important position.

Even so, the cast ranking circulating on platforms like Douban places Dilraba’s name third after Zhang Xiaofei and Lay Zhang Yixing, sparking speculation that she might be playing an important supporting role or special guest star, rather than the lead. For now, the public is still waiting for an official announcement from the production team.
