Hit Content Drives iQIYI’s Revenue Growth as Global Markets Surge

LayarHijau– iQIYI strengthened its dominance in China’s online entertainment market during the third quarter. Research firm Enlightent reported that the platform continued to lead domestic viewership for long-form dramas, while its online movie offerings retained the top market share for the 15th consecutive quarter. However, the report did not identify specific titles responsible for this strong performance.

The company’s revenue-sharing approach for films also showed remarkable results. A Cool Fish 2 generated more than 18 million yuan — roughly $2.47 million USD — in shared revenue within its first two months, underscoring the competitive advantage of iQIYI’s content-driven business model.

Subscription revenue climbed around three percent, supported by original hits and theatrical successes such as Ne Zha 2. Brand advertising revenue secured double-digit growth year-over-year, with over 60 percent coming from content-integrated ad formats. Meanwhile, performance-based advertising continued to diversify its advertiser portfolio, contributing to more stable monetization.

iQIYI’s global expansion is also gaining pace. International membership revenue surged more than 40 percent year-over-year, with user numbers in Brazil, Mexico, and Indonesia more than doubling. Its IP-driven merchandise business — including drama-themed collectible cards — recorded revenue growth exceeding 100 percent.

Technological advancements remain a major focus for the platform. The company co-launched a global AI short-film competition with Google and ByteDance and partnered with Academy Award-winning cinematographer Peter Pau to develop an AI Theater initiative. For everyday users and advertisers, AI tools like iQuickReel help streamline short-video creation and boost creative impact in ad campaigns.

With standout content, accelerating international traction, fresh monetization strategies, and deeper AI integration, iQIYI is positioned to maintain strong momentum both at home and abroad.
